Not Quite Insomnia

Occasionally, it's hard for me to sleep. Sometimes, that's because I'm reviewing my day and thinking of silly things like this:

Lately, though, it's because of my clock.

There is nothing special about my clock. It is like any other digital alarm clock with those blocky numbers, glowing in the dark while I attempt to sleep. But the more I look at them, the more anthropomorphic they seem.

After a few minutes, I start enjoying this. I start wondering what the next time might look like. This has been happening for about a month now, every time I lie down to go to sleep for the night or take a nap. So I have come up with facial features every possible numeral appearing on the clock. I have a whole system!

The numerals before the colon represent hair, eyebrows, or headgear.

The numeral after the colon represents the position of a mouth, or facial hair.

The last numeral represents clothing, accessories, or arm position.

(For those of you who don't know, "power fingers" are when executives and other important people make that little "A" with their hands, where their fingers are the sides and their thumbs form the bridge.)

Making number faces is fun! Now that you have the chart, you can do it too.

Remember that the chart is not binding! I don't always use these images to make a face. If a different image is funnier, I'll imagine that instead.

For example:

My favorite is man-in-beret-with-wine-glass. This is particularly funny if I've been up until 1:19 AM drinking wine.

Anyway, try it out! Have fun! If you come up with a good one, leave a comment!

Below is the full chart with bonus numerals.
